Regardless of which type of luggage I’m taking (rolling duffle or structured rolling bags) these packing cubes are extremely helpful with organization inside. They allow me to compartmentalize similar items like underwear in one cube, socks in another etc. I’ve also been happy with them for electronic stuff – I use one for powercords and cables (for laptop, Zen player, camera, mobile phone) and other small attachments like my memory card reader for the digital camera etc.

Very useful – and I’ve had some of these cubes for many years so they do hold up well. I like the Eagle Creek ones a little better but the Rick Steves set is by far the best price. And, Rick Steves is a travel guru by the way – if you don’t own some of his books you’re truly missing out. They are the best travel books on the market. For some reason recently I used a small Tupperware box to pack my socks for a trip. This was fine till I had worn all the socks and had an empty Tupperware box taking up room in my suitcase. “If only it would fold flat,” I thought. Then I found the packing cubes. They are slightly large for the width of my Samsonite carry-on suitcase. But they are scrunchable. They are lightweight with see-through mesh, everything I could want. I plan to buy at least one more set to make a Christmas gift. They’re better than Tupperware, but don’t use them to store deviled eggs.

I don’t travel much, but last year, for the first time in 17 years, I took 2 air trips with my daughter, and we shared the packing cubes. Oh, I wish we each had a set! I am in a power wheelchair, so coming and going both times, I was inspected. The packing cubes made putting things back in the bags so easy compared to the things I had loose, and that took forever! Unpacking for our week at HandiHams Radio Camp in Cupertino, CA was easy, and I left some things in our bags that I didn’t use as often. Our other trip was on the Disney Wonder, so we had Greyhound bus travel, air travel, and sea travel! The bags made it very easy to unpack and pack. I recommend getting enough of them to hold all of your things. I used one to hold all of my personal electronics [iPaq,keyboard,iPod, Ham Radio HT and chargers]. Easy to see through the black mesh and get what I wanted without the other stuff falling out. Wonderful to keep clothes folded and neat in the suitcase. We also used several other Rick Steves products and I hope to review them soon. All are 5 star! If I could give the cubes a 6 star rating, I would! I have another set on the Wish List.

I traveled for five weeks through nine countries with one relatively small backpack (an Osprey, also highly recommended) and found these packing cubes to be indispensable. There’s no need to get anything more elaborate or sturdy. The great thing about these is that they are feather-light and you can SEE what’s in them. Very helpful when you’re living out of one bag.

The largest one held six or seven shirts, as I recall, but that’s all I was carrying. I imagine I could have carried several more. The medium one was right for undergarments. I used the smallest one for small electronics like my camera and memory sticks. I’ve since bought another set and use them every time I travel.

with all the hassle at the airports now a days, packing in these cubes is the answer, everything is neat & can be inspected. I could go on & on, but i love these cubes….
